What the site does
Most quote pages show a price and a one-day change. Stock Charted is built around a different question: how has this moved over the last week, month, quarter or year, and how does that compare with something else? Every page answers that with closing-price charts and plain percentage returns for today, 7 days, 28 days, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, plus a custom date range.
- Market directories for Nasdaq, NYSE, the Nasdaq-100, S&P 500 and Dow 30, ETFs, gold and silver, NYMEX and COMEX futures, and major cryptocurrencies, sortable by return or trading volume.
- Head-to-head comparisons (/vs) that put two assets on one normalized chart starting at 0%, so you can see which one led and by how many percentage points.
- Period comparisons that set a stock's latest period against the one before it, or against the same period a year earlier.
- World exchanges with the main index of each major stock market and its trading hours.
- A directory of US financial firms (banks, credit unions, investment advisers, broker-dealers and others) built from regulator records.
- A financial glossary of investing and market terms in plain English.
Who it is for
Individual investors, students and anyone following the market who wants a quick, uncluttered answer to "how has this done?" without signing up for anything. There are no accounts, paywalls or premium tiers.
How it is run
Stock Charted is an independent site, launched in September 2026. It is not affiliated with Nasdaq, NYSE, any exchange, broker or listed company. Prices are collected automatically every trading day and checked against each exchange's session, and the firm directory is refreshed from regulator data on a schedule. The full details, including where AI is used in our written content, are on the Data & Methodology page.
Nothing on the site is investment advice; see the Disclaimer. The site is supported by advertising.
